Abstract. Fouad MR, El-Aswad AF, Aly MI. 2022. Acute toxicity, biochemical and histological of fenitrothion thiobencarb on fish Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Nusantara Bioscience 14: 217-226. The results show that the tested are highly toxic to fish. However, is more (1.6 times) Oreochromis niloticus (Linnaeus, 1758) than thiobencarb. determined 96-h LC50 values using a static bioassay system fingerlings (8-10 g) were 0.20 0.32 mg L-1 for thiobencarb, respectively. mortality rate exposed ½ (0.10 mg/L) (0.16 four days demonstrated was 20% rate. Fish showed tremors, lethargy, decreased movement, increased respiratory rhythm. total activity AChE in control 5.61 ±0.03; it significantly reduced 4.92 ±0.03 treatment 1.13 ±0.02 treatment. Fenitrothion specific from 0.83 ±0.01 0.68 ±0.01, whereas 0.22 ±0.01. Generally, inhibited much fenitrothion; produced 80% inhibition, while 12.5% inhibition. It significant increase liver GST SOD pesticides compared control. There no alterations tissues individuals. found herbicide affected gills, kidneys, insecticide fenitrothion.

Investigation of Acute Toxicity of Alpha-Cypermethrin on Adult Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus L.)
Alpha-cypermethrin, which is a synthetic pyrethroid pesticide and potential toxic pollutant, contaminating aquatic ecosystems was investigated in the present study for acute toxicity. Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) adults were selected for the bioassay experiments. The experiments were repeated three times and the 96-h LC50 value was determined for the adults. The static test method of ac...
متن کاملToxicity of Raphia vinifera, P. beauv fruit extracts on biochemical composition of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus, Trewavas)
Biochemical compositions (total protein = TP, total lipid = TL, globulin = Gl, albumin = Al and albumin/globulin = A/G ratio) of Oreochromis niloticus liver, kidney and brain exposed to 0.5 ppm aqueous extracts of Raphia vinifera (AERV) were investigated. The various biochemical compositions fluctuated with time of exposure to AERV. TP ranged between 0.91-4.64 mg/dl, Al between 0.41 – 3.02 mg/d...
متن کاملComparative Study on the Toxicity of Biopesticides and Synthetic Insecticide on the Biochemical and Hematological Changes of Fresh Water Fish, Nile Tilapia Oreochromis niloticus (L.)
Injudicious use of synthetic pesticides causes numerous adverse effects, ranging from long-term to short-lived changes in a balanced ecosystem. The impact of cassava based biopesticide (Menma) was tested along with a neem based biopesticide (Nimbecidine) and a neonicotinoid insecticide (Imidacloprid) on the fresh water teleosti, Oreochromis niloticus. The LC50 values of all the three insecticid...
متن کاملTHE OPPOSING EFFECT OF ASCORBIC ACID (VITAMIN C) ON OCHRATOXIN TOXICITY IN NILE TILAPIA (Oreochromis niloticus)
The opposing effect of ascorbic acid against ochratoxin induced perturbations in some haematological and biochemical parameters in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) was investigated. This study was carried out to evaluate the ability of a minimum level (500 mg/ kg diet) of vitamin C to counteract the toxicity of two levels of ochratoxin (400 and 600 μg/ kg diet). Nile tilapia (5060 g/ fish) ...

The nutritional suitability and cost effectiveness of rice polish and mustard oil cake as protein sources in the diet of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) were studied. This study introduced rice polish as a plant protein source for Nile tilapia and three diets were formulated using rice polish (0, 10 and 20%) and mustard oil cake (10.0, 17.6 and 22.0%) for a feeding trail of eight weeks to ...
